The name is the cause for their fame! Low wall-mounted air conditioners are put at a lower level than standard high-wall air conditioners, making them more aesthetically appealing because they are out of your direct line of vision. These have the look of standard radiators

Where a building has a ducted air system, duct mounted air conditioning is usually the preferred option. As the ducting is usually hidden in the ceiling voids, then so too is the duct mounted air conditioning system. Typically, they are installed in loft spaces.
This type of air conditioning is common in applications where there are a number of different rooms or zones or even separate premises to be cooled and therefore, tends to be more expensive, but suits properties where they do not want the look of high or low wall mounted units.

Split air conditioners consist of an outer and inner component that are connected to and from the internal and external components.
If you are looking to have just one room cooled then this is called a single split system one indoor unit supplied by one outdoor unit.
If you are looking to have multiple rooms cooled then this is called a multi-split install. These air conditioning systems are essentially the same as the split systems except that there are a number of indoor units linked to the same external unit.
Certain things will affect the cost of the install, including the length of pipe-run between the indoor unit and outdoor unit and the indoor unit’s location. Similarly, when the indoor unit is in cooling it will produce condensation and this needs to be taken to a drain, if the indoor unit is on an external wall this will simply take to drain outside. If the unit is located on an internal wall, then a pump will be required thus increasing the cost.
